3-05-2012 Donate at the Finance Department of Sharjah
The Finance Department of Government of Sharjah will campaign and collect books on behalf of The Book Shelter. The campaign will run for one month.
30-04-2012 Talk at AISA with 2nd Graders
Our volunteers Tanya Daud and Rehaab Daud volunteered to speak to one hundred 2nd Graders at the American International School of Abu Dhabi about what we do at The Book Shelter, how each person can help their community and how volunteering can enrich us. The children were intelligent and very receptive and interactive, giving us their ideas of how they can help the community in their own way, and telling us what books they’d like to donate. It was a success and a learning experience for both sides.
